What is Impact6?

  • Impact6 is a program.
  • It helps me do more things myself.
  • Things like cooking, catching the bus or making friends.
  • It lasts 6 weeks.

Who is it for?

  • People aged 9 to 64.
  • People with an NDIS plan.

Who comes?

  • A practitioner comes to see me.
  • They are a registered allied health practitioner. That means a trained health worker.
  • It is the same person each time, if possible.
  • If I am under 18, my parent or carer is there every time.

What happens?

  • We meet 2 times every week.
  • Each time is 2 hours.
  • We meet at my home, or out in my community.
  • I choose a goal. A goal is something I want to do myself.
  • I make my own reminders with paper and markers.
  • I practise a little between visits.

My choices

  • I can say no to any activity.
  • At the start and the end, we check how much help I need. It is not a test. I cannot fail.
  • I can stop the program at any time.

At the end

  • I get a report. It shows what changed.

Who pays?

  • My NDIS plan pays.
  • I only pay for the visits I had.
