Why WORK

You're far from the only one

Most young people with disability want a job. The hard part is usually everything around the work itself.

66%aren't confident telling a boss what they need
54%aren't confident in job interviews
46%aren't confident talking on the phone

Domains developed

What you'll practise

WORK develops 5 domains (areas of everyday life) in real settings at home and in the community, using real work tasks and real job applications. Your Outcome Report scores all 5 at the start and end. Your goal sits inside one of them.

  • 1Main focus

    Learning on the job

Picking up a task while someone watches, to their standard, on their timeline.

    Learning and applying knowledge
  • 2Main focus

    Getting on at work

Bosses, teammates and customers: different rules, practised safely.

    Interpersonal interactions and relationships
  • 3

    Speaking up

Asking questions, reporting a problem and deciding what to share about your disability.

    Communication
  • 4

    A working week

Getting there, on time, every shift, all week.

    General tasks and demands
  • 5

    Finding and keeping it

Searching, applying and sticking with a job or course.

    Life long learning

Taught your way. Your diagnosis shapes how we teach, and every activity comes in three levels, from more support to more challenge.

Practised where it counts. At home and out in your community, where you're most comfortable and where the goal matters. Not in a clinic.

Built to change how much help you need, not just to tick off a goal. How we measure it →

Impact6™. Get to can™.

I can call my manager.I can ask for what I need.I can get to every shift.I can handle the interview.I can keep the job.

Can is the moment a task becomes yours. Not done for you. Done by you, because you practised it where it happens. Every can is a step toward the independence you choose.

Outcome Report

Every change documented. Confirmed.

Therapy shouldn't end with a guess. Your Outcome Report scores your 5 domains at the start and the end, in the functional capacity language the NDIS uses, so everyone can see what changed.

  • See the change. Progress you can see, not just feel.
  • Get your support team on the same page. Family and supports keep building on it. You choose who sees it.
  • Know what's next. What to keep practising.

Questions about WORK

Do I need a job already?

No. WORK fits whether you're looking, starting or trying to keep a job.

Can WORK run alongside another Impact6 program?

Yes. It's paid from a different budget, so it can run at the same time as, or after, any life-stage program.

Which budget pays?

Capacity Building: Finding and Keeping a Job. The plan check shows you where to find it in your plan.

Do I have to talk on the phone?

No. Check your plan, pick a start week and sign online. We'll email.

Can family or support workers be there?

Yes. Parents, guardians and support workers are welcome at any session, or every session, with the participant's OK. They see what's being practised and learn how to back it up between visits. For a participant under 18, a parent, guardian or adult carer must be present for the whole of every session, including outings.

What if it isn't working?

Stop any time. You pay only for the sessions you've had. There's no exit fee.

Who comes to my home?

A registered allied health practitioner, such as an occupational therapist, developmental educator, speech pathologist or psychologist. They're registered with AHPRA or accredited by their professional body. Every practitioner holds a current NDIS Worker Screening clearance and, for participants under 18, a Working with Children Check where state law requires one. We keep the same practitioner throughout wherever possible.

Why at home and not in a clinic?

That's deliberate. People learn best where they feel comfortable, and home and the local community are where the goal actually matters. A skill practised in your own kitchen or on your own bus route is one you can use the next day, not one you have to work out again somewhere else.

Does this replace our current therapist?

No. They do different jobs. Ongoing therapy supports you over the long run. Impact6 is a short, focused block: twice a week for 6 weeks, the same practitioner, one goal practised in the places it matters, and a score at the start and the end. You can keep your regular supports going and add Impact6 as a concentrated push, if your plan has room for both. With your consent, we'll share the Outcome Report with your therapist so everyone builds on the same progress.

Can I talk to someone first?

Yes. Book a call time that suits you and we'll ring you then.

Prefer to talk? Book a call time.
