Participant information

Your rights, and what to expect.

What you can expect from us, what we ask of you, and who to contact if something isn't right.

Your rights

  • Choice and control. You choose your goal, and you can say no to any activity.
  • Respect. We treat you with dignity, and respect your culture, values and beliefs.
  • Safety. Every practitioner holds NDIS Worker Screening clearance and, for participants under 18, a Working with Children Check where state law requires one. For anyone under 18, a parent, guardian or adult carer is present for the whole of every session, including outings. If you have a behaviour support plan, your practitioner reads it before week 1 and plans around it. They never apply, remove or work around a restriction.
  • Privacy. Your information is handled as our privacy policy explains.
  • Speaking up. You can complain to us or to the NDIS Commission at any time, and it never affects your program.

Everyone who delivers NDIS supports must follow the NDIS Code of Conduct. So do we.

Before you start

You'll sign a service agreement. It sets out the program, the hours, the most it can cost, and how travel and cancellations work. Read it in your own time, and ask us anything. You can have a family member, friend or advocate help you.

Consent and decisions

We ask for your consent before we start, before we share your information, and before any photo or video. Sessions may be recorded for quality checks, with your consent. If you'd rather not, a session can be watched live by video instead. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it won't affect your program. If someone makes decisions with you or for you, such as a parent, guardian or nominee, we involve them in the way you and the law require. We support you to make your own decisions wherever possible.

During the program

  • Your starting point scored across your program's 5 domains in week 1, and again in week 6
  • A goal you choose in week 1, inside one of those domains
  • Two 2-hour sessions a week for 6 weeks, face to face, with the same practitioner wherever possible
  • An Outcome Report within 5 working days of your last session
  • Give us 2 business days' notice to move a session and there's no charge

Ending the program

You can end your program at any time, for any reason. You pay only for what's been delivered, and there's no exit fee.

If something goes wrong

If you're hurt, feel unsafe, or something happens that shouldn't have, tell your practitioner or us straight away. We report serious incidents to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as the law requires. In an emergency, call 000.
